Quality as a competitive advantage -- this is your moment to make it happen.
An Austrian-based, internationally operating high-tech company stands at the forefront of advanced manufacturing technology. With over 500 employees across multiple continents and a product portfolio that enables some of the most cutting-edge developments in the global semiconductor and microelectronics industry, this organisation is a true hidden champion -- deeply rooted in scientific excellence and driven by a passion for innovation. Following a period of strong growth and a deliberate phase of organisational consolidation, the company is now investing strategically in its structures, processes and people to prepare for the next chapter of expansion. As part of this journey, we are looking for a quality leader who brings not just expertise, but vision:
What you'll be doing
You'll be building something. Not from scratch -- but from a solid foundation that needs a stronger architect. As the new Head of Quality Management, you'll take ownership of the company's entire quality organisation: seven people, two teams, and an agenda that spans from QMS development and ISO 9001 compliance to supplier quality, audit management and cultural transformation. You'll challenge processes that have served the company well but need to evolve. You'll set standards for international suppliers and make sure what's measured in-house matches what's measured out there. You'll bring CAPA, FMEA and Root Cause Analysis to a level of rigour that matches the company's ambitions -- and you'll do it while bringing your team along for the ride, not just issuing instructions from above. Cross-functional collaboration -- with R&D, Production, Supply Chain, Service -- is not just expected, it's how things actually get done here. You'll be the quality voice in the room, trusted by the COO, respected by customers, credible with suppliers.
Who you are
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of five years of leadership experience in quality management within semiconductor, mechanical engineering, aerospace, medical technology, automotive or a similarly demanding high-tech environment. You have demonstrable experience in professionalising or transforming quality organisations and are well-versed in ISO 9001, CAPA, audit management, supplier quality assurance and risk management methodologies. A solid background in Lean, Six Sigma or KVP-based continuous improvement is expected, as is experience in internationally active organisations with complex supplier networks. A completed technical degree is required; experience with SAP or comparable digital quality systems is a plus. You are fully fluent in English and comfortable operating in an international context. As a person, you lead with empathy and structure, communicate clearly across functions and inspire your team through your proactive, solution-focused approach. You are pragmatic, open-minded and have a genuine appreciation for the complexity that comes with high-tech production environments.
What's in it for you
Genuine ownership. A company that trusts its people and gives them space to act. Colleagues who are among the sharpest in their fields -- globally. A product that truly matters. A base salary of approximately EUR 150,000 to EUR 170,000 gross per annum (all-in). Two sites in the greater Vienna area, a modern Vienna office, subsidised catering, job bike and a travel schedule that takes you to suppliers and service partners -- but doesn't take over your life. Most importantly: the chance to leave a real fingerprint on an organisation at a defining moment in its history.
