Proposal and project coordinator for water treatment plants (m/f/*)

What are my responsibilities?

In the department Turnkey and Special Projects (TK PI-AT) we are looking for a competent support for the evaluation and execution of water treatment and utility systems (WTP) in the field of industrial plant engineering for the international steel industry with the following tasks:

• Project coordinator/manager for water treatment and utility systems
• Development of low‑budget solutions in cooperation with local companies
• Definition of boundary conditions for cooling water requirements based on utility requirements from steel processes (mainly electric steelmaking)
• Preparation and specification of requirements in RFQs (Requests for Quotation)
• Evaluation of technical solutions together with local Italian subcontractors
• Execution of the project in cooperation with the selected subcontractor once a contract is awarded

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Technical university with focus on process engineering for water treatment. At least 10 to 15 years of work experience in this specific field is necessary.
• Deep knowledge in water treatment processes, especially for the metallurgical industry
• Development of principle cooling water treatment concepts
• Preparation of RFQs for WTPs and negotiation with potential subcontractors and Clients
• Execution and coordination of WTP projects according to specified boundary conditions with selected subcontractor
• Deep understanding of interfaces and interface management in plant engineering in general
• Interface management to steel processes, clients, subcontractors
• Expert in piping engineering (for guidance of subcontractor)
• Knowledge of water treatment equipment like pumps, heat exchangers, cooling towers, tanks, etc.

The position requires the ability to work independently as well as in a team, strong communication skills including the ability to negotiate and convince counterparts, reliable interface management, excellent proficiency in English, and very good skills in Microsoft Office tools.

What else do I need to know?

The minimum annual gross salary for this position under the collective agreement and assuming that all requirements are met is EUR 53.241,02 (F/00) or EUR 60.962,30 (G/00).
