Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Simulation and Modeling: Develop and simulate different Solid-State Transformer (SST) topologies and build models to analyze their performance
• Laboratory Measurements: Perform laboratory measurements and dynamic characterization of various devices to collect data and validate simulation results
• Data Analysis: Analyze data based on efficiency, power, and other key metrics to optimize the performance of SSTs and other devices
• Device Development: Investigate and develop new SST technologies, using SiC MOSFETs of different voltage classes

Type of employment: Temporary / Part-time or Full-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Education : Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field
• Technical Skills: Understanding of power electronics topologies, including DC/DC and AC/DC converters, and good knowledge in simulation software tools such as PLECS and SPICE, with possible Python interface
• Laboratory Experience: Ability and willingness to work in a power electronics lab, handling high voltage, high current, and high power equipment
• Way of work: Self-motivated and proactive working style, with a willingness to learn and grow in the semiconductor area, and ability to work independently
• Language Skill: Fluency in English

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group B for bachelor students, employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2025.pdf).
