Director Broadband (w/m/d)

Broadband is the central unit for broadband expansion at A1 and is responsible for the integrated expansion, optimization, and operation of all mobile and fixed network infrastructures. As a strategic and operational interface, the unit connects all core areas of network development. With innovative technologies and efficient processes, Broadband makes a significant contribution to A1's leadership in digitalization and quality.

• You assume overall responsibility for the broadband area and thus serve as the central interface for all core infrastructures and services at A1.
• You ensure the continuous optimization of the mobile network infrastructure and oversee the nationwide expansion of fiber optics (FTTB/FTTH) as well as the development and management of the entire service portfolio.
• You guarantee an excellent end-to-end service experience for our consumer and business customers and ensure the highest quality and performance standards.
• You manage internal and external partners for network expansion and operation as well as contract law, planning, permits, and projects.
• You develop innovative process landscapes, build efficient organizational structures, and drive automation and ongoing improvement in all areas.
• You lead your teams with modern management routines, enable top performance, and position A1 as a pioneer in digitalization and service quality.

Your profile

• Several years of leadership experience in complex, technology-driven environments, ideally in telecommunications
• Extensive technical know-how in mobile networks, fiber optic expansion, and service lifecycle management
• Experience in optimizing, planning, and implementing large infrastructure projects and experienced handling of the relevant tools and processes
• Strong interpersonal skills, customer orientation, and negotiation confidence at all levels - from suppliers and municipalities to the C-level
• Analytical skills as well as business management understanding
• A passion for innovation and the ability to unite different perspectives to develop new solutions together with your team and consistently achieve high performance
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German

It is important to us that your salary reflects your qualifications and experience. It can exceed the collective agreement and starts at EUR 150,000 gross per year including 40% variable component, all-in.
