Do you enjoy assembling, adjusting, and testing technical equipment? Are you careful with small components and interested in learning how high-resolution 3D printing systems are built?
UpNano is a Vienna-based pioneer in high-resolution 3D printing, developing innovative systems based on two-photon polymerization (2PP) for research and industrial applications worldwide.
At UpNano, you will help produce and test advanced 3D printing systems at our headquarters in Vienna. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will learn our assembly, optical alignment, software setup, and quality control procedures.
We welcome applicants with vocational training, technical school education, or relevant practical experience. A university degree is not required.
Your tasks
Assemble and test components, accessories, and modules for UpNano printing systems.
Carry out optical alignment, laser adjustment, and calibration following training and established work instructions.
Install and configure system software using defined setup procedures.
Inspect incoming components and materials according to inspection instructions.
Perform functional checks and factory acceptance tests using established test protocols.
Record assembly steps, measurements, and test results accurately.
Identify and report defects or deviations, and carry out agreed corrections within your training.
Help maintain an organized workplace and suggest practical improvements to everyday production.
What you bring
Practical technical ability gained through vocational training, technical education, or relevant work experience.
Good manual dexterity and an interest in precise assembly and adjustment work.
A careful, reliable approach and the ability to follow instructions consistently.
Basic computer skills and confidence learning new software.
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and work closely with colleagues.
Sufficient English to understand work instructions, document results, and communicate within the team.
A technical apprenticeship or technical school qualification, for example a Lehre, Fachschule, or HTL background in mechatronics, electronics, electrical engineering, precision mechanics, or a related field, is welcome. Applicants with comparable practical skills are also encouraged to apply.
Experience in assembly, inspection, testing, optics, or laboratory equipment is an advantage. Previous experience with lasers or 3D printing is not required; training in our systems and procedures will be provided.
Applicants with higher technical qualifications who enjoy practical production work are equally welcome.
What we offer
An exciting and innovative work environment with a pleasant, team-oriented atmosphere.
Structured onboarding and practical training in our products and production processes.
Responsibility for your own work as your skills and experience develop.
Varied technical tasks and development opportunities in a growing international company.
Access to a free in-house fitness centre.
Secure bike storage and changing rooms.
A weekly fresh fruit basket, drinks, and snacks.
Team events and collaboration with colleagues from different technical disciplines.
