Do we have your attention?
We don’t think in “campaigns.” We think in NC-ROAS, MER, and the next €10K — and where it should go. We’re looking for someone who feels the same way about a Meta account that other people feel about a good crossword: a puzzle worth solving, every single day.
As Senior Specialist Paid Social, you’ll own the strategy, execution, and optimization of our biddable media — Meta first, Pinterest close behind, and the next platforms we decide are worth a real test. You’ll steer the spend that turns strangers into Holzkern customers, you’ll find the angles nobody else has found yet, and you’ll run it all end to end. If you live in Ads Manager, get genuinely excited by a clean incrementality read, and can’t help reverse-engineering why a competitor’s ad is working — keep reading.
Your areas of responsibility
- An eight-figure annual paid social budget. You steer it, pace it, and forecast it — and you decide where the next €10K does the most work.
- The number that matters. New-customer ROAS (NC-ROAS) and blended efficiency (MER) — not just platform-reported ROAS. You think in incrementality, not vanity metrics.
- Meta, like a specialist. A modern, consolidated account architecture — Advantage+Shopping (ASC), prospecting, retargeting — and you know why it’s built that way.
- Signal quality, end to end. CAPI / server-side tracking, consent mode, custom conversions, clean attribution in a post-iOS, privacy-first world.
- Creative testing as your superpower. Hypothesis-driven frameworks across hooks, angles, formats, and offers — one variable at a time, clear learning out. You read thumb-stop and hook rates, catch fatigue early, and scale winners with conviction.
- The data↔creative bridge. You brief creatives, not just buy them — turning performance signal into direction for our content team and our best assets into the next winning ads (AI-accelerated, to keep velocity high).
- New angles. New audiences, offers, formats, and platforms — with a structured testing playbook: real hypothesis, defined budget, kill and scale criteria up front.
- Projects, end to end. From briefing and setup through pacing, optimization, and reporting — no hand-holding required.
- The reporting that drives decisions. Performance reports senior stakeholders actually use — tied to business goals, with a clear “so what” and a recommended next move.
- The internal expertise. You’re the go-to on biddable media, and you keep us ahead — pulling signal from the best DTC operators (podcasts, Substacks, shared test results) and turning external best practice into things we actually try.
Your profile
- 3+ years hands-on in biddable media buying, ideally in DTC or e-commerce.
- Deep Meta expertise — you’re genuinely nerdy about it. Ads Manager is second nature, and you have strong, evidence-based opinions on ASC / Advantage+, broad targeting, bidding, and account architecture.
- A number-cruncher’s instinct. You’re fluent in CPM, CTR, CVR, NC-ROAS, and MER, and you actually enjoy the analysis. Strong Excel/Google Sheets; comfortable in Looker Studio / Supermetrics or similar.
- Measurement maturity. Solid grasp of tracking, pixels, server-side / CAPI, tag management, and multi-touch attribution — and you can reason about incrementality beyond platform-reported ROAS.
- Creative-testing chops. You can brief, evaluate, and read ad creative independently, and design testing frameworks with clear hypotheses and documented learnings. Forecasting and budget ownership across multiple channels at once, with disciplined pacing.
- End-to-end autonomy. A self-starter who prioritizes well, juggles multiple workstreams, and ships without hand-holding.
- A clear communicator — written and verbal — who turns performance data into stakeholder-ready insight.
- Curiosity as a default setting. You’re hungry to learn, you seek out external input, and you’d rather test a new idea than defend an old habit.
- Excellent English (C1). German is a plus.
Nice to have
- Pinterest, TikTok, or YouTube/biddable experience beyond Meta.
- Appetite to share your craft and raise the level of junior analysts and media buyers around you.
