IT:U is a new technical university in Austria (Linz) dedicated to digital transformation, driven by interdisciplinary research and project-based learning to actively shape this transformation and advance it with a solution-oriented approach.
Join us as a Senior Third Party Funding Acquisition Specialist (f/m/d)*.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
Identification and interpretation of funding opportunities aligned with applicants’ scientific and leadership goals.
Demand-driven support for proposal preparation for specific funding lines and support for consortium setup, communication, and collaboration.
Liaison with funders to ensure institutional compliance and up-to-date funder information.
Coordination with IT:U post-award, legal, and other services during submission and grant preparation.
Contributing to the development of grant management tools and processes, awareness-raising and training on third-party funding, and institutional reporting.
Supporting the IT:U strategy on industrial collaboration, large projects, fundraising, and related areas.
Your strengths and skills:
Finished University degree (preferred on PhD level) in MINT, Life sciences or Social sciences areas.
Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in research grants preparation, including strategic planning, proposal drafting and coordination proposal preparation work.
Demonstrated expertise with public research grants, such as EU Framework Programs, FFG, FWF or overseas funding; proven ability to interpret and apply funders' eligibility rules.
Good command of MS Office and Confluence or similar tools.
Excellent communication skills in English and German on minimum level C1.
Professional conduct and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and structural skills complemented by attention to detail.
Highly organised, autonomous and proactive, with a strong service mindset and a proven ability to deliver on time.
