IT:U is a new technical university in Austria (Linz) dedicated to digital transformation, driven by interdisciplinary research and project-based learning to actively shape this transformation and advance it with a solution-oriented approach.

Join us as a Senior Third Party Funding Acquisition Specialist (f/m/d)*.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Identification and interpretation of funding opportunities aligned with applicants’ scientific and leadership goals.

  • Demand-driven support for proposal preparation for specific funding lines and support for consortium setup, communication, and collaboration.

  • Liaison with funders to ensure institutional compliance and up-to-date funder information.

  • Coordination with IT:U post-award, legal, and other services during submission and grant preparation.

  • Contributing to the development of grant management tools and processes, awareness-raising and training on third-party funding, and institutional reporting.

  • Supporting the IT:U strategy on industrial collaboration, large projects, fundraising, and related areas.

Your strengths and skills:

  • Finished University degree (preferred on PhD level) in MINT, Life sciences or Social sciences areas.

  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in research grants preparation, including strategic planning, proposal drafting and coordination proposal preparation work. 

  • Demonstrated expertise with public research grants, such as EU Framework Programs, FFG, FWF or overseas funding; proven ability to interpret and apply funders' eligibility rules. 

  • Good command of MS Office and Confluence or similar tools. 

  • Excellent communication skills in English and German on minimum level C1.

  • Professional conduct and  ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and structural skills complemented by attention to detail. 

  • Highly organised, autonomous and proactive, with a strong service mindset and a proven ability to deliver on time.
