Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• AI Tooling: Design and deploy AI-powered support for schematic capture, layout optimization, and design rule checking
• Workflow Integration: Integrate machine learning models into PCB development workflows to improve decisions and reduce iteration cycles, including suitable frameworks, data pipelines, and deployment strategies for EDA environments
• Automation: Automate repetitive engineering tasks, including component selection support, netlist validation, BOM analysis, and documentation generation
• Data Insights: Analyze design and manufacturing data to identify optimization opportunities, performance trends, and process bottlenecks
• Research: Investigate intelligent systems for error detection, anomaly identification, and predictive quality assurance across the PCB development process
• Collaboration: Partner with hardware engineers, PCB designers, manufacturing teams, and software developers to ensure seamless AI adoption
• Compliance: Ensure solutions meet engineering standards, design constraints, and product reliability requirements

Further Information:
Type of employment: Temporary / Part-time or Full-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
Duration: min. 12 months

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English, German as a plus
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of data analysis, automation scripting, and workflow integration
• Teamwork: Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Mindset: Solution-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently while supporting team success
• Organization: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with experience in collaborative or international work environments as an advantage

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group B for bachelor students, employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2026-05-01.pdf).
