Your challenge
- Leads and coordinates the integration of central sustainability requirements into the organization and ensures their implementation:
This includes the development of clear policies, guidelines & requirements as well as underlying structures that have to be implemented and used by the respective stakeholders. - Collaboration with and guidance of the sustainability coordinators on division level:
This role coordinates the relevant personnel at the divisional level to, on the one hand, establish a common understanding of the sustainability agenda and, on the other hand, develop the necessary structures and minimum requirements to enable the implementation and monitoring of the various sustainability measures. - Identifying and addressing business needs to set the strategic course for the future:
Ongoing screening and monitoring of various business requirements to identify strategic issues early on so that they can be addressed centrally. - Optimizing data availability and governance incl. the selection of tools and software solutions:
Selecting and implementing relevant tools and solutions (SAP, MS Fabric, Power BI, Business Warehouse, etc.) to optimize data quality and availability across the group. Collaborating on group-wide data excellence projects. - Promoting excellence through synergies and capacity building:
By establishing clear guidelines and defining minimum requirements, the goal is to advance key initiatives related to the circular economy and product sustainability across the group; this includes the calculation and provision of PCFs as well as LCAs. - Establishing a shared understanding of priorities and a common framework when addressing various topics:
In collaboration with stakeholders, priorities will be set, appropriate monitoring and management processes will be developed, and the provision of key information will be ensured.
Your Profile
- Completed degree in natural sciences or business administration (university or university of applied sciences), ideally with a focus on sustainability or operational excellence or project management
- Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally in the manufacturing industry
- Experience in sustainability and project management, as well as in dealing with various interest groups and coordinating their needs
- A strong interest in optimizing processes using IT-based solutions, as well as a basic knowledge of SAP
- Proven track record of successfully implementing sustainability measures and corresponding tools in a complex organizational environment
- Knowledge of the main regulatory requirements in sustainability with special focus on product sustainability including PCF & LCA
- Strong leadership skills to set the right priorities and generate solutions together with the team
- Highly structured working style with the ability to operate independently in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
- High ability to reconcile conflicting requirements and starting points
- Excellent knowledge of English and preferably German

In accordance with legal requirements in Austria, we are obliged to disclose the minimum annual gross salary for this position as defined by the collective agreement, which is EUR 65,605.54 (Chemical Industry Collective Agreement). We are, of course, willing to offer a market-aligned overpayment depending on your individual qualifications and professional experience.
