To support our growing organisation we are currently looking for a charismatic and negotiation‑strong leader who will take responsibility for Strategic Procurement in the freight wagon environment while professionally steering our GCU Claim Management.

Team Lead Strategic Procurement & GCU Claim Handling (m/f/d)

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead and further develop the Strategic Procurement function
• Establish, negotiate, and conclude framework agreements with Railway Undertakings (RUs), logistics service providers, material suppliers, and refurbishment workshops
• Functional and disciplinary leadership of the European GCU (General Contract of Use) Claim Handling Team
• Full responsibility for claim management in line with the GCU, including escalation handling
• Develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies
• Monitor KPIs, manage suppliers, and assess risks
• Collaborate closely with Technical Operations, Market Operations, Finance & Controlling, and Legal

You are a good fit if you have:

• Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in the freight wagon industry or logistics
• Solid knowledge of the GCU is an advantage
• Proven leadership experience
• Extensive expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and claim management
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Analytical, structured, and solution oriented mindset
• Hands on attitude
• Very good command of German and English
• Willingness to travel (approx.20%)

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Spedition & Logistik Industry in occupation group C/I with a minimum salary of EUR 3.254,-- gross per month. Our salary package is based on current market salaries and starts at 64.000 gross per year.
