ABOUT EGSTON POWER ELECTRONICS

EGSTON Power Electronics is a young, fast-growing company in power electronics industry, focusing on the development and manufacturing of high-performance Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHIL) test and emulation platforms for power electronic systems. Based in Klosterneuburg on the northern outskirts of Vienna, we are an international team with a passion for cutting edge technology and dedication to developing innovative products, while continuously improving our expertise through active collaboration with our customers, suppliers and external research facilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Power Electronics Engineer at EGSTON Power Electronics GmbH, you will apply your deep technical expertise to the design, development, validation, optimization, and customization of cutting-edge power amplifiers for Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHIL) systems. This is primarily an office-based position, with occasional trips to customers of up to 5% of your yearly working hours.

Aufgaben

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing, developing, testing, optimizing and customizing power electronic converters for EGSTON's existing and next generation PHIL systems.
  • Evaluating advanced circuit designs for high-performance power electronic converters.
  • Defining requirements and specifications for digital controllers (MCU, DSP, FPGA) to ensure robust implementation in power converter systems.
  • Conducting circuit modeling and simulations (LTspice, PSIM, Simulink, or equivalent) to validate and optimize the converter designs.
  • Actively participate in PCB layout design for power electronic converters, ensuring reliability, manufacturability, and safety compliance, with expertise in tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, or equivalent.
  • Applying expertise in magnetic components design.
  • Designing and implementing high-bandwidth digital controllers for prototype power converters and developing bare-metal software in C/C++ for embedded system prototypes.
  • Ensuring compliance with Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and EMC regulations (CE marking process).
  • Supporting system-level design, prototyping, and validation, including PHIL system integration.
  • Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and sharing knowledge with peers.
