We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer in our Vienna office to shape and operate our cloud-native platforms to deliver reliable and stable banking services.
Your Responsibilities:
You build & evolve the cloud infrastructure and platform which powers our digital banking services, ensuring the security, scalability, and high availability.
You are responsible for operating, maintaining, and continuously enhancing Kubernetes-based platforms and containerized application environments.
You build, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support reliable, scalable, and automated software delivery processes.
You develop and maintain automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and scripting technologies.
You oversee platform health through proactive monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and the implementation of reliability and performance improvements.
You work closely with development, architecture, security, and operations teams to deliver cloud-native solutions and advance platform capabilities.
You ensure adherence to security, governance, and operational standards while maintaining compliance across cloud environments.
You contribute to cloud modernization initiatives, platform engineering practices, FinOps, and the continuous improvement of DevOps processes.
Your Qualifications:
5+ years of professional experience in the DevOps or related engineering fields (e.g., Site Reliability Engineer, Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer).
You bring hands-on AWS expertise, ideally with services such as EKS, ECS, RDS, MSK, KMS, API Gateway, Route53, and Load Balancing.
You have Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts and architecture, with hands-on experience building and running K8S clusters, Docker containers and managing Amazon EKS clusters. You have hands-on experience with Helm and Kubernetes package management, along with deep expertise in Kubernetes networking, service discovery, ingress, autoscaling, and storage concepts.
You are experienced with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform & CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
You know how to build and maintain modern CI/CD pipelines and are familiar with Git workflows, GitHub Actions, & GitOps concepts.
You have Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, combined with extensive knowledge of networking, cloud networking, and network security principles, including, load balancing, routing, DNS, Firewalls, ACLs , TLS, and related technologies.
You are experienced in designing, implementing, and operating monitoring solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and Amazon CloudWatch to ensure platform visibility, performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
You have basic SQL knowledge incl. SELECT, UPDATE & troubleshooting and know your way around PostgreSQL administration.
You have the ability to develop and maintain Bash and Python scripts.
You enjoy identifying & solving technical challenges and take ownership of your work.
You communicate effectively in English and enjoy collaborating across teams.

Ukrainian on a professional level
Experience with container security and vulnerability scanning.
Experience with event-driven and microservice architectures.

Salary
We offer a compensation package starting from gross EUR 75.000 p.a. (All-In). We believe in fair and competitive compensation. Your final salary will be agreed upon based on your skills, experience, and qualifications during the recruiting process.

This is an all-in salary, which already includes any accrued overtime.
