We offer
A job with high diversity and impact in a key role at the centre of a leading international scientific organization. International work environment, professional development opportunities, short communication channels and quick decisions in a small, friendly team are part of the package, as is a stunning location in the heart of Vienna between the Karlsplatz/Volkstheater hubs and a Vienna public transport annual ticket.
We offer flexibility in arranging working days by agreement and flexitime agreements are in place.
To support efficient workflows of a team coordinating an international organization we work predominantly at our premises in the city centre where every staff has its own desk and personal storage space. Flexibility to perform certain tasks from home, in particular when private and professional lives would otherwise interfere, are of course possible by agreement.
We offer a mentoring and onboarding phase together with the current Communications Officer who is leaving the job due to the re-location to another country.
The permanent contract is for minimum 12-15 hours / week and depending on additional projects and/or external funding it may be possible to increase up to 15-20 hours / week. However, note that no increase to a full-time position is expected. CIE is interested to receive applications from persons who intend to work part-time in the longer term. Increases to the permanent contract are not short-term but usually on an annual or biennial basis. Please indicate your minimum/maximum possible hours of work and preferences/situation in the cover letter.
