LAMIE InsurTECH Group is Austria's leading embedded insurance provider with a focus on telcosurance. As an independent digital insurer with UK and EUwide licenses, LAMIE InsurTECH Group covers the entire value chain, operates completely independently of traditional players, and already serves over 1.5 mi l l ion active customers in more than 8 countries. With a team of 70+ professionals across four hubs—Linz, Belgrade, London, and Dublin—we combine innovation with a dedicated focus on our customers.

The Role

Picture this: Someone plans a trip and adds travel insurance through their telecom provider. The ordering flow that loads, the questions it asks, the moment they click "buy". That is your work.

So is LUIS, the in-house platform our Customer Support team works with every day. So is the landing page our business partner sees when evaluating us. Big public things. Quiet internal things. Variety keeps this job exciting.

And we are at a turning point. LAMIE is in the midst of a complete rebrand, and SPINN Underwriting, our MGA within the group, needs a design system of its own. Our website relaunch is one of this year's flagship projects. You will not be inheriting polished pages. You will be helping define how both brands look, feel, and work from this point forward.

You will work alongside our Art Director, a fellow Designer, the Communications Team, Product Owners, and Front-End Developers. A small, sharp group that ships quickly, debates openly, and refuses to separate functionality from aesthetics.

What you’ll do:

  • Design clear, accessible interfaces for web products.

  • Research, wireframes, highfidelity UI.

  • Share and defend your design decisions. We enjoy debate.

  • Use AI tools like Claude and Replit as part of your craft.

  • Build and scale design systems in Figma for the group's brands.

  • Translate B2B and B2C needs into intuitive journeys.

  • Make our brands modern and exciting, yet trustworthy.

  • Hands-on role in shaping design choices from start to finish.

What you bring:

  • Advanced to expert skills in Figma (components, variants, variables, auto-layout, design systems).

  • Solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

  • Comfortable in Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

  • Hands-on with AI -assisted design tools (Claude, Figma Make, Replit, or similar).

  • A real track record of building design systems, ideally across multiple brands or products

  • A portfolio that showcases your proudest moments.

  • Fluent German and English, spoken and written.

How you work:

  • You truly enjoy turning chaos into structure.

  • You thrive in unfinished places. Half-built systems do not scare you. They motivate you.

  • You spot what needs to be done and start doing it.

  • You give feedback well, take it even better, and defend design decisions like a grown-up.

  • You collaborate easily with creatives and others outside design: developers, product owners, support, and more.

What we offer:

  • Real ownership of real work. No design-by-committee theatre.

  • Flexible hours (15–30/week) with a hybrid approach.

  • Long-term work in a stable, award-winning company.

  • Internal and external training to keep your craft sharp.

  • Direct impact on evolving design systems.

  • Family-friendly culture and a team that likes each other.

  • Central offices in Linz, Belgrade, London and Dublin.

  • Shaping the future of LAMIE and SPINN Underwriting.
