We are looking for an experienced engineer to build and scale reliable systems for our clients. At smaXtec, we develop a cloud-based health monitoring system that improves herd health using AI and smart algorithms. YOUR ROLE
Design and build robust backend systems using NestJS
Architect scalable solutions using modern patterns in a cloud native environment (n-tier, microservices, event-driven, hexagonal)
Work with PostgreSQL and Redis, including query optimization and schema refactoring
Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs (queries, mutations, subscriptions)
Tackle complex technical challenges with a strong problem-solving mindset
Your Profile
Technical education (HTL, Computer Science, Software Development) and at least 5 years of experience.
Solid experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
Advanced backend architecture knowledge
Strong database expertise (SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis)
Deep understanding of GraphQL
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to have: Experience with Nest.js, Kafka, Kubernetes, interest for React and/or React Native.

Transparent salary model (gross annual, full-time):
Junior: from € 42.000 gross per year
Advanced: from € 52.000 gross per year
