LAMIE InsurTECH Group is Austria's leading embedded insurance provider with a focus on telcosurance. As an independent digital insurer with UK and EU-wide licenses, LAMIE InsurTECH Group covers the entire value chain, operates completely independently of traditional players, and already serves over 1.4 million active customers in more than 10 countries. With a team of around 70 professionals across four hubs — Linz, Belgrade, London, and Dublin — we combine innovation with a dedicated focus on our customers.

YOUR ROLE

As our in-house Legal Counsel, you’ll be part of a team that ensures our fast-moving, internationally operating company always has its legal affairs in order. You’ll work across a broad range of legal topics, receiving guidance from senior management and external legal advisors as required. Responsibilities are prioritized based on business needs, allowing you to gradually expand your ownership as you grow in the role. You’ll work closely with teams in Linz, Belgrade, London, and our Dublin offices, as well as external advisors across multiple jurisdictions. Regulatory responsibilities are coordinated centrally, while local expertise supports jurisdiction-specific requirements, ensuring clear decision-making and ownership of compliance.

Variety is guaranteed. Routine is not.

Do you enjoy learning new things? Are you the type who spots issues before they turn into problems? Curious, open-minded, and not afraid to say, “I don’t know yet, but I’ll find out”? Then this is your next challenge.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft and review insurance customer documents and product T&Cs

  • Support on claims- and complaint-related legal questions

  • Take ownership of intellectual property topics (trademarks, copyrights, etc.)

  • Draft and negotiate partner contracts with clarity, confidence, and cooperation

  • Work iteratively with teams

  • Navigate regulatory matters and support colleagues in Austria, the UK, Serbia, Ireland, and beyond

  • Spot legal issues proactively and bring them to the table—no blinders, no tunnel vision

  • Contribute legal expertise to product development, risk assessments, and internal discussions

YOUR PROFILE

  • A completed law degree—ideally business law or equivalent.

  • 4-5 years of experience in a relevant legal field (corporate, regulatory, insurance, commercial, etc.)

  • You’re comfortable working across different legal topics—even those that are new to you

  • Eager to learn, flexible, and genuinely curious about new challenges

  • Clear communicator who can explain legal complexity without sounding like a textbook

  • Open-minded and a great team fit. Mindset matters as much as experience

  • Strong English skills for our international environment

  • 4-5 years

YOUR PERSPECTIVES

  • Take ownership of your work in a dynamic, supportive, internationally connected environment

  • Diverse legal topics—no two weeks look the same

  • Exciting development opportunities in a growing scale-up

  • Flexible full-time or parttime (20+hrs) position for a healthy work-life balance

  • Flexible working hours and home office options

  • Friendly, appreciative atmosphere with flat hierarchies

  • Long-term employment in a stable, licensed insurer

  • Central workplace in Linz with convenient public transport connections
