Group Head of Banking Operations & Process Management (gn)

Your key responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for Banking Operations across the group, driving resilient, efficient, and high-quality daily operations that support business and client needs; this includes ensuring reliable processing, maintaining optimal capacity and quality, and fostering continuous process and efficiency enhancements
Transform banking services by embracing digitalisation, artificial intelligence, and evolving market trends
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures
Drive the implementation and ongoing development of the Operations digitalisation strategy
Sponsor and oversee IT initiatives to enhance the processing capabilities of the group, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end digitalization
Take the lead in ensuring effective collaboration and open communication within the organisation, actively promoting responsible partnerships and mutual support
Develop, implement, and govern policies and procedures that promote operational efficiency, process management, compliance, and risk management
Anticipate emerging technological trends and proactively recommend and launch innovative initiatives to advance the Banking Operations function
Oversee and optimize Banking Operations to ensure dependable, efficient, and top-quality processes that satisfy business and client demands, while continuously enhancing operational performance
Manage the Operations department budget and monitor expenditures
Your profile
At least 10 years’ experience in banking (or a related sector), including proven senior leadership expertise
Demonstrated strong client orientation with the ability to deliver services across divisions and entities
Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance issues in banking operations, with experience engaging with local and international regulatory and audit bodies
Outstanding knowledge of banking products, operational processes, and systems
Exceptional leadership and management capabilities; adept at motivating teams towards future readiness while sustaining high performance
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in English is required, while knowing German is highly advantageous; any additional familiarity with a CEE language is considered an asset.
