For our location in Klagenfurt/Austria, which specializes in the development of wind turbines, we are offering the following position:
Automation Software Engineer for Renewable Energies (m/f/d)
Your tasks
Develop application software tailored for electrical control and power systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Perform comprehensive testing and commissioning activities both in-house and at customer sites, guaranteeing seamless system functionality.
Develop and implement a centralized wind turbine parameter structure, enabling standardized configuration and simplified lifecycle management.
Upgrade and maintain PLC software in compliance with the latest industrial security standards, ensuring system integrity.
Develop, maintain, and continuously update software documentation, including the establishment of a fully automated documentation process.
Collaborate with global internal teams and external partners to manage work packages effectively within development projects and meet agreed timelines and milestones.
Prepare detailed technical specifications and documentation in coordination with external partners to maintain project transparency and accuracy.
Deliver expert training sessions to customers, enhancing their understanding and use of our systems.
Your profile
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
Several years of proven experience in software development, with a strong focus on high-quality solutions.
Experience in embedded software engineering is highly advantageous.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C / C++ / structured text is essential.
Familiarity with power converter systems and programming in Matlab/Simulink is a plus.
A customer-orientated mindset with a genuine interest in collaborating with diverse cultures.
Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel internationally for business assignments, up to 10% of the time.
