We are looking for an experienced Digital Signal Processing Engineer with a passion for real-time audio and ultrasonic signal processing to join our team on-site. In this role, you will contribute to the development, optimization, and integration of DSP algorithms for advanced audio products and wearable devices.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of hardware, firmware, and software engineers to bring advanced DSP solutions from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize real-time audio and ultrasonic DSP algorithms.
- Develop and maintain embedded C firmware for DSP-enabled microcontrollers used in audio pipelines.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate and validate DSP algorithms in production systems.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across firmware, hardware, and signal chain.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and help define future DSP features.
- Deliver clean, efficient, and well-documented code optimized for real-time performance.
Experience and Qualification
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- 3-5 years proven experience with DSP development for audio or embedded systems.
- Strong hands-on skills in Embedded C for real-time, low-power environments.
- Solid understanding of audio DSP fundamentals, algorithms, and real-time constraints.
- Experience in debugging and optimizing DSP pipelines.
- Fluent in English, with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Bonus Skills
- Experience developing or tuning DSP algorithms for TWS earbuds.
- Familiarity with Bluetooth audio systems or wireless communication for TWS.
- Python skills for signal analysis, prototyping, or test automation.
- Understanding of acoustic measurement and performance evaluation.

Salary
The collective agreement minimum salary is 40,856 € gross per year (on a 38.5-hour basis). The actual minimum salary is 50,000 € gross per year (on a 38.5-hour basis), the actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience. The salary is paid 14 times per year. The collective agreement Metallgewerbe applies.
