Apply now

Keen to be working across the communications strategy of everything Red Bull is doing in Motorsports and Aviation?

Then this is for you.

Join our Motorsports & Aviation Media Network team in Salzburg, Austria, and take responsibility for developing and implementing earned media strategies for motorsports and aviation projects across our global network.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Areas that play to your strengths

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:

In a nutshell

In this role, you'll be responsible for implementing holistic communication and earned media strategies for motorsports and aviation at Red Bull. Your overarching goal will be to grow brand attribution by engaging new and existing media globally, curating strong storylines and supporting country Communication Managers to achieve high-quality earned media impact. You'll play a key role in driving aviation-related initiatives within the Media Network, while also supporting global motorsports priorities.

Strategic Motorsports & Aviation Communications & Audience Engagement

In this role, you'll take the lead in shaping and executing communication plans for selected motorsports and aviation projects and formats. You'll develop comprehensive plans that ensure earned media opportunities complement programming, content, and social strategies.

You'll bring a new focus to earned social opportunities by identifying storylines and content that resonate with entry-point consumers and younger audiences. Together with internal stakeholders and external creators, you'll help activate these stories across channels in an authentic and brand-building way.

You'll set clear communication strategies for projects, identifying the key hooks and storylines that will encourage media to talk about the brand - from aviation-led initiatives to motorsports series and hero moments. Working closely with the Motorsports & Aviation Marketing teams, you'll translate marketing initiatives into media-relevant stories and content angles.

Local Power - Global Success

You'll work to align global and local efforts by collaborating with country teams to elevate their motorsports and aviation media opportunities. You'll coach them, share best practices, and help identify local projects with the potential to resonate on a global scale.

For these initiatives, you'll create agreed communication plans that outline clear deliverables and advocate for their amplification through the Media That Matters (MTM) approach. This includes identifying markets where successful earned outcomes can be replicated and ensuring these projects receive the attention and support they need.

You'll manage relationships with the Motorsports & Aviation Marketing teams and other key stakeholders in the Media Network to ensure alignment and buy-in for the earned media strategy on both global and country level. Additionally, you'll work with agencies, athletes, and external suppliers to deliver high-quality outcomes that meet Red Bull's standards and objectives.

Performance, Optimization, and Resource Management

You'll focus on driving performance and ensuring efficient use of resources across motorsports and aviation projects. You'll define project milestones and track progress to secure high-quality, quantifiable earned outcomes.

You'll oversee project-related budgets on a yearly basis, prioritizing initiatives that deliver the highest return on investment and complement the work being done within the Motorsports & Aviation Network. You'll work with analytics and reporting tools to understand project performance, share insights with counterparts, and continuously optimise communication approaches.

Experience

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

That matter most for this role:

  • 3+ years of experience in communications, PR, or marketing in a media-led or similarly relevant environment, with a proven track record in earned media (storytelling, media relations, driving reach and engagement).
  • Strong interest in and solid understanding of motorsports and/or aviation, as well as the modern global media landscape.
  • Project management skills, including leading cross-functional project teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical and strategic mindset, team-player attitude, high level of self-motivation and organisational skills.
