We are seeking a dedicated Head of Quality Assurance to join our Global Quality team. Based in Ludesch/Vorarlberg home of our QA team, with at least bi-weekly travels to Elsbethen/Salzburg to ensure seamless alignment across both locations, this is a unique opportunity to shape quality excellence across Red Bull's Operations.

As Head of QA you ensure the highest global standards for premium product quality and food safety across Red Bull's value chain. This role drives strategic initiatives, compliance, and continuous improvement, while leading a high-performing QA team and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver premium Quality worldwide.

LEADERSHIP AND TEAM DEVELOPMENT

You will lead and develop a high-performing QA team, focusing on coaching, mentorship, and continuous learning while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation

PREMIX PRODUCTION SITE MANAGEMENT

In this role, you will ensure quality and food safety requirements at our premix production site, as well as that a quality management system and a food safety system are implemented and operating effectively. The quality management system for the premix production site includes all departments and processes on-site, starting with incoming goods through production to delivery. The assurance of compliance with global quality standards, including GFSI and HACCP is vital in this function.

COPACKER AND SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

You will be involving monitoring the copacker production sites as well as packaging suppliers and acting as a link for all quality assurance topics between Red Bull and the copackers and packaging suppliers. You will conduct internal and external audits and track the implementation of preventive and corrective actions for both copacker production sites and packaging suppliers, as well as the establishment of Red Bull quality and food safety requirements. You will oversee supplier and copacker qualification processes, actively managing their performance to meet global standards and build strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and production partners.

INCIDENT MANAGEMENT AND TRACEABILITY

This includes ensuring robust traceability processes, fact-based decision-making, and preventive measures for quality incidents with confirmed compliant handling.

PROCESS OPTIMIZATION AND GLOBAL DIGITALIZATION

Part of this position is driving efficiency and global digitalization of QA processes and workflows, as well as implementing systems for process automation, traceability, and KPI-based decision-making. The optimization and streamlining of QA processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness is key. Furthermore, you will harmonize QA policies and ensure consistent reporting transparency across all locations.

STRATEGIC PROJECTS AND COLLABORATION

Collaboration with internal and external partners to achieve quality excellence. Leading and supporting strategic projects to enhance product quality, food safety, and operational performance. You will develop innovative solutions to improve traceability, compliance, and operational excellence. You will collaborate on cross-functional projects to align QA systems with organizational goals.

Experience

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

That matter most for this role:

  • Degree in food technology, quality management/quality assurance or process technology with formal trainings in food or beverage industry or comparable field
  • +10 years of professional experience in a leading role in quality management
  • +10 years of experience in internal and external auditing, HACCP, and food safety
  • Extensive experience in quality management within the food and beverage industry, including supplier qualification, conducting audits, and implementing CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
  • Deep understanding of global standards such as GFSI and HACCP, with a proven ability to ensure compliance and integrate these frameworks into operational processes
  • Proven track record in leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
  • Proficiency in QA systems, SAP, and process digitalization tools
  • Strong background in managing strategic projects focused on quality improvement, sustainability, and process optimization
  • Expertise in statistical methods, KPI-based decision-making, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Skilled in conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards
  • Fluency in English and German is a must
  • Solution-oriented mindset and keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Hands-on and transparent personality capable of thriving in a dynamic global environment
  • Travel: 40-50 %

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2603.59 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
