The opportunity
Are you scientifically curious, practical and keen to build your experience in a laboratory environment? We are looking for a Technician to support our development and production team in Vienna. You will contribute to enzyme development and a varied range of laboratory activities, from fermentation and molecular biology analyses to protein purification. This is an opportunity to apply your scientific knowledge, learn new techniques and play a part in the development of our enzyme projects.
Tasks
- Participation in the development of new enzymes.
- Fermentation of microorganisms such as bacteria and yeast.
- Molecular biological analyses and co-development of enzymatic assays, from sample preparation to analysis.
- Protein purification by chromatography.
- Participation in all laboratory operations.
- Precise documentation of the experiments carried out.
Requirements
- Master's degree or relevant qualification (e.g. university, technical college or HTL degree in biology, chemistry, molecular biology or biotechnology, or similar relevant training with a scientific background).
- Experience in the field of molecular biological methods, fermentation or protein purification would be an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of German (spoken and written), very good knowledge of English (spoken and written) and computer skills (MS Office).
- Independent and accurate way of working, communication and team skills.
- High level of initiative and flexibility.

Salary
The actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience and is between 44,000 € und 50,000 € gross per year (on a 38.5-hour basis). The salary is paid 14 times per year.
