We are looking for a Digital Commerce Developer with a strong focus on Shopify to join our Website & E-Commerce team.
We are intentionally keeping the seniority level open. You might be an ambitious developer early in your career who wants to learn fast, take on responsibility and build deep Shopify expertise. Or you might already bring several years of experience and be ready to take broader ownership.
For us, drive, ownership and the ability to grow with the role matter more than the number of years on your CV.
You will work on a Shopify Plus store serving 16 international markets, with a large product catalog and a setup connecting development, UX/UI, CRO, content, data and commercial performance.
Shopify development is at the core of this role. At the same time, we are looking for someone who thinks beyond individual development tickets and is interested in how the website performs, why customers behave the way they do and how technical decisions affect conversion and business results.
Depending on your experience and strengths, your scope and ownership can grow significantly over time.
Your areas of responsibility
- Develop and maintain our Shopify storefront using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Build reusable sections, components and functionalities together with UX/UI, Website Management and CRO
- Translate Figma designs into responsive and maintainable storefront components
- Work with metafields, metaobjects, dynamic sources and our Shopify data structure
- Troubleshoot storefront issues and identify whether their source lies in the theme, Shopify configuration, an app or another system
- Support and continuously improve our Git, testing, QA and release processes
- Test changes across devices, browsers and multiple international Shopify markets
- Evaluate Shopify apps and technical solutions with maintainability, performance and customer impact in mind
- Work closely with our internal IT team and external technical partners on topics that go beyond the storefront
- Support the technical implementation of A/B tests and CRO initiatives
- Identify technical and UX-related onsite performance issues and help turn insights into concrete improvements
- Use website and funnel data to investigate anomalies and understand the impact of changes
- Bring a D2C and E-Commerce perspective to technical decisions, considering conversion, merchandising, product discovery and the overall customer journey
Your profile
- Practical experience with Shopify and Liquid, either professionally or through substantial project work
- Good knowledge of HTML and CSS and working knowledge of JavaScript
- Understanding of responsive web development and modern frontend principles
- Experience working with Git or another version-control workflow
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate technical issues independently
- Interest in how technical changes influence UX, conversion and commercial performance
- A strong sense of ownership: you actively move topics forward and finish what you start
- You communicate blockers and challenges early and transparently
- You investigate before escalating and are curious about the root cause of a problem
- You challenge constructively when you see a better solution
- You are ambitious, curious and motivated to continuously develop your skills
- Very good English skills, as this is our internal working language
Depending on your experience, additional skills may include:
- Shopify Plus and Online Store 2.0 theme architecture
- Shopify Markets and international, multi-language or multi-currency stores
- Metafields, metaobjects and complex product data structures
- Shopify Admin or Storefront APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, Shopify Flow or Shopify Functions
- A/B testing tools and CRO methodologies
- GA4, GTM, website analytics or funnel analysis
- Web performance and Core Web Vitals
- Experience in a fast-moving D2C or E-Commerce environment
- Merchandising, product discovery and onsite customer journeys
- Technical SEO, tracking or consent management
- Figma and developer handoff
You absolutely do not need to tick every box. We are interested in the combination you bring — whether that is strong Shopify development with an appetite to learn commerce, or solid development skills combined with a strong understanding of CRO, data or D2C.
