Your future role

From Vienna to the world: our Viennese site is a global competence center for trams and light rail vehicles. 800 colleagues develop and manufacture the Flexity(tm) tram for worldwide customers from Austria to Australia. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You'll report to Vian Batush (Material Planning Coordinaton Manager, Vienna) and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

We'll look for you to:

  • Manage the supplier portfolio, to guarantee the delivery of goods at the right time and in alignment with Alstom's operational needs, while clearly communicating delivery requirements
  • Track and evaluate supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and lead initiatives for supplier performance improvement to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials
  • Oversee the flow of purchase requisitions and develop material planning documentation (e.g., call-offs, schedule agreements) in compliance with stock and logistics constraints, ensuring accuracy in the material planning master data
  • Analyze supplier confirmations against Alstom's needs, identify potential risks, and implement recovery actions for any supply issues. This includes maintaining delivery dates in the ERP system and resolving any receiving discrepancies
  • Maintain routine communication with suppliers to monitor delivery statuses, share KPI performance analyses with stakeholders, and collaborate with Material Planning Management to address underperforming suppliers and formulate improvement plans

All About You

  • Graduated at least from Higher Education in Business Administration, Engineering or Supply Chain
  • Advanced Excel skills, SAP experience would be desirable
  • Experience with ERPs, Supply Chain concepts, processes continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork capabilities while also being able to work independently
  • Show proactivity in addressing challenges, adopt a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and contribute positively to a collaborative work environment
  • Fluency in English and German language is mandatory

  • The minimum salary for this position is EUR 45.000 EUR gross annually for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement. Overpayment depends on relevant work experience and qualifications.
