Do you want to get to know the development of high-voltage MOSFETs (Si, SiC) and/or HEMTs (GaN) and even drive it yourself? Can you further on imagine to extend your activities to multicomponent products consisting e.g. of a switch and a driver IC? As a new team member, you will contribute in our product development projects across different sites. At the same time, you will be responsible for technical work packages, like designing and verifying your own products. This role will bring you in contact with diverse colleagues from all over the world and will give you the chance to share and discuss your ideas with different people.

Job description

In your new role you will:

• Apply semiconductor physics knowledge to solve product issues and explore improvements for future product or technology releases
• Actively contribute to the product innovation process with concepts, demonstrators and technical evaluation
• Collaborate as a technical team member in new wafer technology, package and product projects
• Actively contribute to Product Design & Process DOEs to ensure manufacturability and attractive product performance
• Collaborate with product marketing and application engineering to shape products for business success
• Define the electrical characterization of the developed components, evaluate the results and discuss within an expert community
• Support the qualification, failure analysis and troubleshooting activities through interpretation of electrical and physical analysis (e.g. SEM, X-ray, EMMI) during reliability tests
• Support the product evaluation activities in transfer projects between production sites
• Be an active part of our technical community by contributing with your know-how to the knowledge pool but also benefiting from the network of experts for your own learning and growth

Profile

Do you like team work? Do you want to further develop your knowledge about product development at Infineon and be part of it? That is great! Then, if you are additionally able to organize the work systematically and identify and manage risks timely, you fit very well into our team

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A university degree in electronics, microelectronics, physics or similar
• Solid knowledge about semiconductor devices and power switches (device physics of silicon, SiC and GaN devices). The Wide Band Gap (WBG) know-how is especially relevant
• First experience in the field of semiconductors is a plus (work or study-related)
• First experience with power devices specifications and datasheets (including good knowledge about statistics)
• Proven capability of technical problem solving
• Lab experience, ideally related to the characterization of semiconductor devices, is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English and German

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group G (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2021.pdf). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
