The Global Technology Engineer defines the global strategy for metal machining, in particular how to manufacture and assemble products and components in the global locations. The Technology Engineer develops technical solutions and standards for manufacturing, (un)loading, machine-interface, programming, automation and tooling, based on the current and future requirements and opportunities.

  • Elaborates current and future Strategic Topics and Technology
    improvements, based on product portfolio and expected volume- / lotsize-forecasts, and including machines, tools, programming,
    interfaces, and automation aspects.
  • Alignment and harmonization of production technology in all
    production plants
  • Supports in release of machine investments following value stream
    considerations and controlling, including verification of invest
    effectiveness after investment implementation.
  • Driving Digitalization: Identification, development and definition of global standards for machine interfaces (e.g. CAD-CAM) to support
    process-automation along the value stream
  • Definition of the framework for evaluating machine lifetime and
    replacement necessities. Evaluation of capacity change effects
    (replacement invest, or overhaul of existing machinery)
  • Screen the market for new and alternative technologies, solutions
    and engineering supports


  • Technical Education
  • Bachelor or Master Degree
  • Knowledge of metal machining
  • Knowledge of MSOffice, SAP
  • Good command of German and English
  • Up to 30% of time for global business travel
  • Skills in presenting, moderation and training
  • Intercultural competence
