We are looking for a Logistic Director (m/f/d) (full time) to improve quality and reliability of logistics service and deliver required logistics efficiency to support profitable growth of Wood Products businesses. Your location will be at one of our Wood Products mills and you will be working in Wood Products Division. You will report to our SVP Supply Chain.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Ensure that customer requirements and business priorities are embedded
  • Work closely with Supply Chain Management to monitor logistics performance
  • Solve transportation issues
  • Develop logistics processes, tools and set-ups as well as logistics service offering according to our strategies
  • Work on common development tasks/projects and communicate the progress to the stakeholders
  • Lead the central dispatch team to secure optimized dispatch & transport planning process
  • Support safety and sustainability work within Stora Enso and specifically in the logistics process. Contribute actively in Safety Observations.
  • Ensure that everyone in the area of responsibility is working according to laws, regulations and the Stora Enso Code.
  • Ensure and optimize the use of the most cost-efficient transport options
  • Participate in Supply Chain Management Team

  • This is an information for Austria as required by law. A performance-related salary based on your qualifications, professional experience and market value. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is EUR 60.000,00 All-in, plus a variable component .


  • Relevant masters' degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10-year experience in logistics or supply chain with successful track record of logistics change management and business understanding
  • Working experience in leadership, allocating resources, coaching, developing and motivating a team.
  • Insight on our industry is considered an advantage.
  • Open mind set about new ways of working.
  • Solid customer service attitude.
  • Ability to set priorities and perform well under pressure.
  • Good team player in an international environment, and able to build sustainable relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English
  • Good competence in MS Office and BI Tools needed.
  • Willingness to travel
