Our site in 1210 Vienna is a strategic location for solid drug manufacturing including tablets, coated tablets, granules and implants for the health provision and treatment of livestock and domestic animals. Most of our products are exported.

Payroll Lead Manufacturing (f/m/d)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing a staff of 3 resources delivering Payroll work across two sites
  • Managing work to set service level agreements and ensure consistent processes across sites
  • Collaborating and partnering with other regional peers, to deliver any payroll-related projects
  • Management and oversight of Time & Attendance system & outputs for two sites
  • Delivering the transition of Payroll to new vendor for Austrian entities
  • Addressing performance issues through effective coaching and make recommendations for onsite staff and/or Payroll services
  • Ensuring accuracy and productivity of the payroll functions including: payroll vendor relations, internal control monitoring, developing and maintaining high quality of efficiency standards
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Responding to all internal and external inquiries on payroll related issues, social insurance, and taxation
  • Ensuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close, including the account reconciliations of payroll related balances
  • Preparing periodic metrics reports regarding issues such as department efficiency and volumes; as well as contributing to the development and management of a Payroll dashboard
  • Oversee preparation of all external and internal audit deliverables for areas of responsibility
  • Acting as point of escalation on service issues across the Payrolls
  • Establishing and monitoring service quality standards and coaching team in accordance
  • Partnering with HR team to ensure full alignment to priorities and delivery of HR services across the HR portfolio
  • Driving the improvement of a New Payroll system documentation
  • Liaising between Austrian Payroll Team and the other colleagues within the EMEA HR Service Delivery & CRM teams, and our external HR Service Center, for change control process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Accounting or another relevant Payroll qualification; in lieu of a degree, the equivalent in experience and evident of exceptional ability
  • Several years of experience in a complex multinational business environment, with focus on Payroll for multiple entities
  • Experience in Service Delivery (HR or Finance) a plus, including SLA management, customer management and issue escalation
  • People management experience strongly preferred
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of all aspects in Payroll - including Austria-specific employment legislation, equity based compensation, Expats, Commuters and Employee Share Purchase plans
  • Outstanding with standard concepts, practices and procedures in the Accounting and Payroll field
  • Demonstrated technical expertise on the automated systems and processes in designated areas of responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with business and support teams within country, region and globally
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, to balance and prioritize work
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, strong personal integrity
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate relevant information to all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work in (international) teams and collaborate / partner effectively at all levels across the organization
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant labor, social and fiscal legislation (Local)
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong MS Office skills, mainly advanced Excel & PowerPoint

The minimum annual salary for this position is EUR 59.700,-- and varies according to the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
