Sportradar is continuing to grow our Information Security Unit and therefore is searching for a Security Engineer. As part of our global Information Security Unit, you will be working closely with our System and Network administration teams to harden our infrastructure. You will be reporting to our Security Operations Lead.
Sportradar invested heavily into security monitoring tools. As a Security Engineer your main tasks will be related to security tool implementations, management, and improvement. Applicants must also expect to be involved with security monitoring, incident response and investigations. The role demands good communication, technical skills, and the desire to work in a diverse team to support the further growth of the Sportradar Group.
It is important that the security operations team is available to all Sportradar employees regardless of time zone. Our personnel is expected to handle incident response and investigations if needed at all hours of the day.
As a Security Engineer your main tasks will be, but not limited to:
Finding and building methods to detect malicious activity
Creating and customizing tooling to support security analysis
Finding out how stuff actually works under the hood
Provide technical guidance and help system administrators, network engineers and our software developers to protect and secure our applications as well as intellectual property
Create and implement system hardening guidelines
Implement, maintain and operate technical security controls like firewalls, IDS/IPS, DDoS protection and EDR
Perform risk analysis to identify any security issues that could lead to lost or stolen data
Monitor current security alerts to patch software such as operating systems with the latest versions
Identify security breaches and take action to stop them and prevent them in the future
Implement the right software and hardware into current and future network environments
Automation of security monitoring and incident response
Working in an international team and environment
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Information Security) or a minimum of 3 years expertise related to operational cyber-security
Knowledge of operating systems Linux as well as Windows 7,10, Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019
Hands-on experience on Cisco and Juniper network devices
Understanding of software defined networks and cloud architecture, preferably hands-on experience with AWS
Knowledge of protocols like DNS, HTTP, SMTP, BGP, OSPF
Fluent English (written and spoken) and a willingness to learn the local language.
Certifications like CCNA/CCNP/CCSE/ JNCP / CISSP /GCFA / GCFE /GMON /SEC504 / SEC503 is considered as a plus.
Fluent in scripting languages like Python, Bash and PowerShell
In depth knowledge of the OWASP TOP10 as well as the ability to guide teams to implement proper protection mechanisms
Experience with one or more of the following:
Experience working in a Security Operations Center, working as a Security Engineer or a System Administrator.
In-depth knowledge of fundamental IT technologies like routing, switching, DNS, TCP/UDP, HTTP, APIs
Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure.
Experience with maintenance of security tools like SIEM, SOAR, DLP, WAF, MDM/EMM, antivirus solution
Experience with Splunk is considered as a plus
