This position in the Information Management Office is a key technical support provider that provides advanced level (Tier-Ill and II) and Help Desk level (Tier-I) support and troubleshooting for incoming queries and issues related to server/computer systems, software/applications, hardware, smartphones, laptops, and network access for more than 400 customers at the U.S. Missions in Vienna. Responsible for installing, configuring, file backups, troubleshooting, and maintaining the hardware and software of the unclassified IT system of servers, network equipment, desktop workstations, peripheral equipment, database (SOL & Oracle) servers to ensure the availability and functionality of systems. The incumbent is also responsible for preparing, issuing/receiving, inventorying, and maintenance of all mobile devices. To include but is not limited to smartphones, iPhones, iPads, flash drives, key fobs, tablets, and laptops to support Tri-Mission-wide mobile requirements. The job holder is responsible for user account management of all unclassified systems.
We are looking for candidates who have the ability to communicate effectively with customers, IT technicians, and management and to work with end users with varying levels of technical experience. Knowledge and understanding of the following:
