As a Head of Research you are infinitely curious, interested and committed to innovative research and challenging projects. By applying fundamental concepts, practices and established new techniques and procedures from various scientific disciplines to research tasks, you will support other employees in different departments in implementing research findings. In doing so, you will have a significant role in creating and improving processes and products, from new raw materials and production methods to the development of new finished products in both the beverage and Non-beverage sectors.

RESEARCH

In this exciting role you will review relevant literature and formulate comprehensive research strategies and proactively elaborate and propose new, scientifically rigorous research ideas. The evaluation and preparation of research proposals is also one of your main tasks. You will also write research papers, reports, reviews and summaries and present findings and projects to the management.

PROJECTS & COLLABORATION

Another part of your job is to support and help shape joint research projects (internal and external). You have intensive contact with employees from the areas of analytics, research and production. You support and train employees including technicians. The management and development of the "Research" team is also an essential area of responsibility.

Experience

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

That matter most for this role:

  • 5+ years of practical research and development experience
  • Recent high-quality research published in peer-reviewed journals
  • Knowledge of scientific approach and methodology as well as technical developments and trends
  • Strong project management and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for gainful collaboration and a logical and mindful mindset
  • Postgraduate qualification (PhD) in the field of Science, such as technical-, material-, or green chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry or food process engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and German
  • Travel up to 10%
