Integrated Drive Design Engineer (m/f/d)

We are currently looking for an ambitious and flexible Drive Design Engineer (m/f/d) for our site in Vienna.
The Drive Design Engineer performs design activities that lead to development of integrated drives. Performs calculations, creates 3D Models and drawings. Supports other Project participants and functions, shares knowledge with other colleagues, communicates with internal and external customers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Creates 2D drawings and 3D models and maintains project databases
  • Develops and designs integrated drives and their components.
  • Project and design related documentation, cooperates with internal departments related to specific project tasks
  • Plans and defines V&V, cooperates with production engineering on production planning
  • Ensures that lessons learned, and best practices are applied on projects.
  • Analyses customer documentation and specific requirements management tasks
  • Works with supply management, specifies part properties and assesses supplier capabilities.
  • Communicates with suppliers in technical related tasks.
  • Supports warranty and service departments. Performs investigation of parts and products related to drive system.
  • Writes reports and contributes to root cause analysis.
  • Transfers knowledge on other team members, represents department at technical meetings with internal and external partners
  • Contributes or leads patent development and cooperates with R&D Legal during patent submitting process.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering is expected
  • Working experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Integrated Systems)
  • Good knowledge of 3D design program CATIA V5
  • Knowledge of KISSsoft and/or M-design preferred
  • Standard MS business suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong sense of responsibility and self-dependence
  • Desired competencies: customer orientation, communication, planning, drive for results, flexibility Good communication, planning and teamwork skills
  • Fluent in German and English is needed

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 3.133,87 / month (14 x) for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement. Overpayment depends on relevant work experience and qualifications.
