R&D Engineer for Mechanical Implant Components (m/f)

Innsbruck, Austria

Main Tasks

  • Develop new manufacturing processes and methods for implantable components and support production transfer
  • Develop new implantable components
  • Schedule and execute verification and validation tests
  • Cooperate with and coordinate external suppliers of components
  • Create and maintain documents (specifications, test reports, experiment descriptions) within the quality management system


  • Higher technical degree (university/FH) in the fields mechanical engineering, medical engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Special knowledge of materials science (corrosion/ageing of materials) and joining technologies (e.g. gluing, welding, pressing) is a plus
  • First professional experience is a plus, preferably in R&D medical engineering
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, spoken and written English
  • Team player, self-reliant and structured approach

Salary will be determined based on professional experience; the formal minimum salary according to Collective Bargaining Agreement is EUR 37,559.20.
