Senior Digital Sales Specialist (m/f/x) for DACH region (Austria, Southern part of Germany and Switzerland)

Job Purpose

Being a member of our new Digital Services Sales team you will make sure that Grundfos grows by achieving sales targets and goals. In this position you will be responsible for selling value based digital offerings to existing customers and would engage with new prospect customers to offer them our AI/IoT digital solutions. The Senior Digital Sales Specialist (m/f/x) will cover the DACH region such as Austria, Southern part of Germany and Switzerland.

What is the job about?

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, annual sales targets and goals.
  • Conduct customer prospecting calls to quantify opportunities.
  • Connect with multiple stakeholders at customer (reliability engineers, plant manager, digital transformation officer).
  • Develop detailed pre-call planning process and risk assessment before on-site visits.
  • Strong understanding of the customer's requirements and ability to build a value proposition.
  • Communicate and demonstrate the vision of our digital services to our end-users.
  • Actively listen and engage with customers and identify how Grundfos' value proposition supports their business needs.
  • Travel with external sales (Sales & Service) to visit customers and be able to coach and guide them towards digital value-based selling.
  • Actively and strategically close sales deals.
  • Provide subject matter specialist consultation to sales engineers and Key Account Managers regarding selection of service products, preparation and presentation of quotations.
  • Proactively identify new sales leads and drive the service sales process for specific customers, markets, products, or industry (this responsibility may be reduced if Business Developer Role is established within the organization).
  • Internal service and solutions subject matter training and knowledge sharing for Sales Directors, Key Account Managers (KAM) and Sales Engineers.

What you need to apply?

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience preferred and minimum of 3-6 years of experience selling technology products/service (SaaS); Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or Digital/Analytics.
  • Must have experience with technical sales and AI/IoT experience selling value based offerings.
  • Ability to lead sales processes or projects within the digital offering environment (value based selling).
  • Strong technical understanding, knowledge and commercial mindset regarding selling and delivering digital offerings and services.
  • Highly developed field-based (customer facing) and phone-based sales skillset.
  • You have already proven your good stakeholder management competencies (internal and external) - preferably gained working in a complex and international organization.
  • Track record of success in customer growth/upselling.
  • Must be able to travel 50%; domestically and potentially internationally
  • As Senior Digital Sales Specialist (m/f/x) you will be covering the DACH region (Austria, Southern part of Germany, and Switzerland).
  • Fluent in German and English (verbal and written)

Additional information:

A gross annual minimum salary in line with the market of 50.000 EUR is offered for the position. With right qualifications and with adequate professional experience a higher salary is possible.
