Currently we are searching for a

Sales Development Specialist (m/f/x)

in Austria - location is flexible (Home Office possible, or office location in Groedig / Salzburg region) in order to cover the German speaking countries.

Help us build up a brand new team

In Service & Solutions, we are in the process of building a new team dedicated to sales development and prospecting in order to create customer leads on our digital offerings. The team will consist of 10 sales development specialists based across the US and Europe, making up a global team. You will be playing a big part in making sure that the team is not only off to a flying start but also grows into a key function within sales development in Grundfos.

"Since we don't have a well-established set-up for this new team yet, we have to use our entrepreneurial skills and work together to do something we've never done before" explains Michael Langerskov Bak, Director, Global Service Sales Development, Industry Service Sales.

Generate the leads for our digital offerings

Based in either the US or Europe - at your home or in one of our offices - you will be responsible for generating qualifying leads using industry end-user profiling, intelligence methods and intelligence database tools.

Partnering with our digital sales specialists, you will be doing research and prospecting, mapping potential customer accounts. Thus, your job will be a mix of initial research, followed by cold-calling to pitch our digital offerings and customer problems we are solving, increasing the odds of closing more business by allowing sales to begin their sales process with qualified contacts who are ready to speak to sales. Offerings are typically software and digital solutions that allow customers to optimize their production, reliability or maintenance structures, making their energy usage more efficient.

Your main tasks are:

  • Research markets for companies that match the ideal customer profile
  • Schedule/arrange discovery meetings for our digital sales specialists and prepare presentations and material, including industry overviews, leads reviews, etc.
  • Identify the target buyer personas and the relationship dynamics for the target list; build customer relationships and establish key points of contact at various levels
  • Build and maintain client relationship management tools to include detailed and timely entered data
  • Increase networking opportunities for relevant industries (trade shows, conferences, lunch and learns, seminars, etc.)

Hunter profile with great communication skills

As our new colleague, we hope you will be the kind of person who is quick to fall into sync with both colleagues and customers, and you have a great phone presence. Being a hunter type, a 'no' does not stop you - you are motivated by getting that 'yes' from a client, and you understand how to pitch our offerings in a way that is supportive towards the client's needs. Moreover, you have to be organized in your research and able to plan your work for the week to reach your clients.

We also imagine that you:

  • Might have a few years of sales development experience within a B2B customer-facing role
  • Preferably have some hands-on experience with outbound sales techniques (prospecting, cold-calling, emailing, etc.)
  • Have strong communication skills in German and English

A gross annual minimum salary in line with the market of 50.000 EUR is offered for the position. With right qualifications and with adequate professional experience a higher salary can be offered.
