The position reports to the Head of R&D with a second reporting line to Head of the Specialty Therapies and will have the opportunity to be responsible for a dedicated development team.


  • Driving the R&D agenda of the Dopaminergic Therapy including project definition, pre-clinical, clinical and product development
  • Assess and execute on the opportunities to enhance and innovate on existing formulations and therapies
  • Oversee cooperation with external labs, universities, KOLs, etc.
  • Oversee the IP landscape and steer efforts towards patentable solutions
  • Active participation in international congresses and internal events such as symposia and support in managing advisory boards
  • Planning and execution of feasibility studies (incl. pharmacological studies in cell cultures and animals) as well as preclinical studies


  • Master/PhD level scientific education, such as pharmacy, chemistry or life sciences
  • Proven track record of several years in a pharmaceutical development environment
  • Experienced with all aspect of drug development, such as clinical studies, pharmacokinetics, planning & timelines, etc.
  • Strong interest in innovative thinking across chemical, pharmaceutical and biological aspect in the dopaminergic therapies
  • Experienced in leading teams in a project management environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skillset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) in German and English language
  • Experienced with medical databases, such as SciFinder, PubMed,

Salary: In addition to a gross annual salary of at least EUR 46.525.22 (based on full-time employment and the collective agreement for this function) we offer an over-salary benefit-related salary (dependent on education, qualifications and work experience) plus other social benefits.
