HOERBIGER SBU C is very well positioned in an attractive market with products and service business to OEM customers and end-user customers in the oil and gas industry, automotive industries and the general industry. Global megatrends put pressure on current business activities but also create new opportunities that can be expanded current offerings or new ventures. The megatrends "CO2 reduction" will enable growing business in H2 applications and with Emission reduction. The trend for increased "Localization" leads to new energy needs in local countries and disrupts established supply chains. The ongoing operational pressure increases the customers need to "Improve Productivity" and the need for "Digitalization and Easy-to-do-business" will foster new business models, process and capabilities that reduce human interaction.

The Business Development Manager is part of the "Innovation and Business Development" team of SBU C, and will work closely with all members of the SBU C management team, market segment leaders and managers of the regional units, as well as with Corporate and regional Business Development Functions. Focus of the role will be to identify and evaluate new business opportunities for SBU C especially focusing on new business models and strategic development beyond the scope of today's offering. The role will support to incubate and commercialize such new business opportunities.

Main tasks

  • Conduct market surveys, feasibility studies and valuation of business ideas and models
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities
  • Develop new business models including sales flyers, basis for pricing strategy, training and roll out
  • Assist in developing growth strategy for SBU C, including identifying partnership opportunities, M&A and analyzing competitive trends
  • Incubate and commercialize new business ideas and opportunities together with the global and the regional team

Requirements

  • MBA or comparable degree with an excellent eductional record
  • Additional Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, etc.) advantaegeous
  • Experience in similar field or with Consulting or Market Research consulting company is desirable
  • Successful record of strategic business development with excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Independent, results-driven, passionate character
  • Hands on, self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Analytical skills and financial knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and international cultural skills
  • Office 365 - Focus PowerPoint
  • Excellent knowledge of state of the art collaboration tools
  • Excellent knowledge of data analytics and relevant software tools
  • English
