As a Group Accountant with Borealis you will keep the finance and accounting matters of the main Borealis company and the Group in optimal and safe shape, deliver data and information for decision making to management and owners and, continuously optimize processes and systems. The typical tasks comprise of:

  • Preparation of closing and routine entries
  • Balance sheet and other reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual closing tasks (postings, clearings, reconciliations, reporting to the group, etc.)
  • Preparations of the local and Group financial statements (postings, disclosure notes, etc.)
  • Assistance with internal and external reviews and audits
  • Cooperation and assistance in finance-related group projects
  • Communication with the country authorities
  • Follow up on the legislation changes and introducing relevant changes to the organisation
  • Preparation of financial, tax and statistical declarations (e.g. social security, insurance tax, withholding tax)

About you

You are the right candidate for this position if you combine a Master's degree in business or a similar relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years of UGB/IFRS accounting and taxgroup reporting-relevant work experience. You hold an AdviserUGB, IFRS and/or Group Accountant certification

For this full time, permanent contract, we will offer you, reflecting your experiences, skills and competencies, a competitive compensation starting at EUR 60.000,- annual gross salary. In addition, we offer a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension plan. The home base location for this role is in the Borealis Head Office in Vienna and the job owner will report to the Country Finance Manager Austria.
