Sportradar is continuing to grow ourInformation Security Unit and therefore issearching for a Security Engineer. Working as part of our globalInformation Security Unityou will be working closely with our System andNetwork administration teams to hardenour infrastructure. You will be reporting toour Security Operations Lead.

Sportradarhave invested heavily intosecurity monitoring tools. As aSecurity Engineer your main tasks will be related to security tool implementations, management and improvement. Applicants must also expect to be involved with security monitoring, incident response andinvestigations. The role demands goodcommunication, technical skills, and thedesire to work in a diverse team to supportthe further growth of the Sportradar Group

It isimportant that the security operationsteam is available to allSportradaremployees regardless of time zone. Security operations personnel is expected to handle incident response andinvestigation at all hours of the day.


As a Security Engineer your main tasks will be, but not limited to:

Provide technical guidance and help toprotect and secure our intellectualproperty

Create and implement system hardeningguidelines

Implement, maintain and operatetechnical security controls like firewalls,IDS/IPS, DDoS protection and EDR

Perform risk analysis to identify anysecurity issues that could lead to lost orstolen data

Monitor current security alerts to patchsoftware such as operating systems withthe latest versions

Identify security breaches and take actionto stop them and prevent them in thefuture

Implement the right software andhardware into current and future networkenvironments

Automation of security monitoring andincident response

Working in an international team andenvironment


Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g.Information Security) or a minimum of 3years expertise related to operationalcyber-security

Knowledge of operating systems Linux aswell as Windows 7,10, Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019

Hands-on experience on Cisco and Junipernetwork devices

Understanding of software definednetworks and cloud architecture,preferably hands-on experience with AWS

Knowledge of protocols like DNS, HTTP,SMTP, BGP, OSPF

Fluent English (written and spoken) and awillingness to learn the local language

Certifications like CCNA/CCNP/CCSE/ JNCP / CISSPare considered as a plus

Experience with one or more of the following:

Experience working in a Security Operations Center or as a System Administrator.

Hands-on experience on Cisco and Junipernetwork devices.

Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure.

Experience with maintenance of securitytools like SIEM, DLP, WAF, MDM/EMM,antivirus solution

Experience with scripting languagesPython, Perl, etc.

Experience with Splunk is considered as a plus
