Industrial Advocacy Manager (m/f/d)

Purpose & key responsibilities of the role:

  • Responsible for reviewing all proposed government legislations / regulations touching the nonwovens industry and explaining them internally, ensuring that Lenzing understands the proposals and their impact on the nonwoven business practice, while at the same time influencing policy makers to ensure rules meet Lenzing's interests
  • Serves as an advocate for Lenzing's nonwoven business. Represents Lenzing in front of government policymakers, at various industry organizations and external committees
  • Analyzes and utilizes publicly present information intended to influence government regulation policies, while being involved in research on specific issues related to regulations in our industry
  • Researches funding options for nonwovens in the Lenzing Group
  • Meets legislative goals by creating policy proposals and educating government agencies and citizens about nonwoven industry.
  • Initiates and leads Lenzing's efforts to align and complement members and key stakeholders, public policy positions and strategies

Our expectations for this exciting role:

  • Extensive experience in and deep understanding of the nonwovens industry and product applications
  • Excellent technical knowledge of Lenzing's products & processes, , including environmental awareness
  • Strong industry network across Europe, and ideally also in USA / Asia
  • Credible government relations network preferred
  • Mature personality with strong presence, advanced networker and good listener
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, paired with intercultural sensitivity
  • Excellent presentation and organizational skills; collaborative & hands-on mindset
  • Advanced technical or science degree and IT skills (CRM, MS Office, MS Outlook)
  • Language proficiency (written and spoken) in Business English (B2), additional languages are a strong plus

The gross salary for this position according to the collective agreement in the chemical industry is EUR 65,000 per annum before tax based on 38 working hours / week, with the willingness to overpay, depending on relevant qualifications and experience.
