Backend Engineer (Scala)

Fulltime (m / w / x) in Linz, Wien or Graz, work from home possible

Your Role

As a backend engineer at Solgenium you will be working on modern applications in the Play! framework (Scala) in a fully containerized cloud hosted environment. You will be part of a small and agile team, so expect to have impact immediately.

You are the ideal candidate if you

• Have 3+ years of experience in working on collaborative software projects with shared code basis, in a production environment
• Have hands-on experience in designing and implementing back-end systems and APIs that are robust and scalable, leveraging modern frameworks and technologies
• Are familiar with modern deployment methods, CI/CD, DevOps, containerization, and cloud environments e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform
• Can communicate complex and technical ideas clearly and efficiently
• Can break down complex features into simple tasks and execute them
• Are a team player that loves to tackle hard problems in a collaborative atmosphere
