Electro Mechanical Designer (m/f/d) - TETO-ATVN02386236

We are currently looking for an ambitious and flexible Electro Mechanical Designer (m/f/d) for our site in Vienna.
The Electro Mechanical Designer executes the electromechanical design of harnesses and of assemblies for the whole vehicle ( light rail vehicle).

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the mechanical design of wiring equipment (harnesses).
  • Coordinate the integration of electrical devices.
  • Create the general and single part drawings beginning with concept phase up to drawings suitable for production for harnesses and equipment racks/containers
  • Create the parts lists for the mentioned above documents.
  • Upload the documentation in SAP or PDM (in future: TCUA)
  • Execute constructional investigations and Calculations
  • Perform harmonisation of the installation of electrical equipment with the internal customer
  • Provide technical harmonisation with suppliers / production
  • Provide support to the procurement department (order specifications)
  • Contribute to bids
  • Create the technical descriptions
  • Supervise the external engineering support and quality control
  • Work with the PPS-system in the context of the specific requirements of the department
  • Implement all requirements for the final product in production.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electromechanical or equivalent.
  • 3-4 years' work experience in Electromechanical Engineering.
  • Profound knowledge of CAD-Tools (CATIA V5), PC standard tools.
  • SAP knowledge (for engineering use) is of advantage.
  • Sense of responsibility
  • Knowledge and understanding of the relevant standards for railway vehicles.
  • German and English at advance or business fluent level are mandatory.
  • SAP knowledge (for engineering use) is an advantage.

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 3.133,87 / month (14 x) for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement. Overpayment depends on relevant work experience and qualifications.
