Job description

You'll be part of a team of highly trained firmware/software developers situated on multiple sites in Europe. Your focus will be forming and defining the architecture of embedded firmware in Radar/Automotive products in close cooperation especially with concept engineering and digital development. Your major task will be:

  • Defining the overall firmware architecture and the layering approach
  • Feasibility studies and documentation for the firmware developers
  • Providing support and guidance for the developers during execution
  • Defining test/verification methodology and supporting the execution
  • Creating and maintaining state-of-the-art development environment
  • Effectively and efficiently implementing tools, methods and processes
  • Supporting Line manager for competence and knowledge management
  • Assessing and managing technical risks to meet the project objectives

Profile

You demonstrate strong communication skills and know how to establish lasting relationships and networks. With your way of being, you inspire and encourage your colleagues to succeed and regularly share insights with them. At the same time you remain aware of the big picture even in complex situations and take actions despite uncertain circumstances.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A university degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 8+ years experience in product development, thereof at least 4+ years firmware development or low level (non-OS) driver development experience
  • 2+ years experience as firmware/software architect
  • 2+ years working as a technical lead, interacting with multiple functions and departments
  • In-depth knowledge of developing microcontroller software as well as architectural and software design pattern
  • Working experience of state-of-the-art embedded software development and tool chain
  • Ideally experience with ASPICE, UML, Matlab and ISO26262
  • Fluent English skills with German skills or willingness to learn it as a plus

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group I (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter-2020/). A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.
