Job purpose

The International Affairs and Regulation team identifies risks and opportunities that emerge in the policy world affecting our group's commercial objectives. Based on our findings we define public affairs strategies that mitigate or utilize the identified risks and opportunities. Finally, we execute our strategy by advising political stakeholders objectively and by promoting political decisions beneficial for our company.

What you do

  • You monitor and analyze policy developments at EU level and indicate up-coming regulatory issues that could affect A1 Group
  • You help to develop, implement and evaluate public affairs strategies
  • You develop position papers and draft communication materials on relevant issues
  • You help to ensure strong participation of A1 Group in the EU policy-making process
  • You keep track of regulatory activities of our subsidiaries
  • You promote the positioning of "International Affairs and Regulation" in-house

What you offer

  • A Bachelor or Master Degree in Law or Politics, or other relevant fields
  • Knowledge of the European Union legislative processes
  • Ability to quickly assess complex issues to identify and analyze the business impact, risks and opportunities
  • Strong networking skills
  • Fluency in English, fluency in any other relevant language is an asset
  • Basic knowledge in the area of telecommunication technologies
  • Basic knowledge in the area of business administrations, public policy or public affairs
  • Please note that in order to get the most from our programme German language skills at a C1 level or higher are strongly recommended.
