AGRANA Fruit is part of the AGRANA Beteiligungs-AG, operating at 28 production sites on 5 continents worldwide. We are the global market leader in the production of fruit preparations and offer customized solutions to the dairy as well as to the bakery, food service and ice cream industries.

We are currently looking for a dedicated, self-organized and confident person who wants to join our Global Purchasing Organization (GPO) Team in Vienna, Austria for the following position:

Junior Category Buyer

You will be responsible for all aspects of procurement for the assigned product portfolio. The role includes contract management, cost control, procurement productivity, inventory management, quality and executional performance and the strategic evaluation as well as execution of the AGRANA Fruit procurement plan.

Tasks:

  • You are accountable for the procurement of the assigned portfolio. Carry out tenders, negotiate prices and conditions with suppliers
  • You assure an adequate supply of all required materials for the affiliates at the optimal balance of cost, quality and service
  • You establish, execute and manage all cost reduction as well as productivity projects for the assigned material categories. Hence meeting or exceeding the annual procurement budget targets
  • Elaboration of market reports for the assigned purchase portfolio
  • Developing, optimizing and monitoring current and new suppliers in the assigned purchasing categories
  • You execute and manage the AGRANA Fruit sourcing strategy for the assigned material categories
  • Active cooperation and communication with other internal departments and especially with the AGRANA affiliates using the assigned materials

Requirements:

  • Education background in economics or engineering (preferably Bachelor/Master degree in Logistics/SCM)
  • A background and/or internship in purchasing is an advantage
  • Knowledge or background in food industry is a plus
  • Accurate and structured way of working paired with excellent organization skills
  • Stress resistant and a negotiating talent
  • MS Office and especially Excel skills for analysis and reports
  • SAP and SharePoint knowledge desirable
  • Willingness to travel
  • High level of English (C1) and German (B2) skills are a prerequisite. Any other languages are an advantage.
