In order to support the raising demand in the area of advanced analytics, we are looking for a Data Engineer (m/f/d) in our Global IT Business Intelligence Team. In this position you'll have the opportunity to join a dynamic team, spread across business and IT, and contribute to the design and the development of projects in the area of data science. Within a cross functional team, you'll have the mandate of architecting, creating, maintaining, and scale data pipelines, enabling our data scientists. Take the opportunity to work with the latest technology, in a highly integrated landscape, dealing with structured and unstructured data.


Areas that play to your strengths

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:


  • Discuss and understand business requirements of advanced analytics projects

  • Work with data science and with business in refining their data requirements

  • Translate the data requirements into an ETL design

  • Implement or supervise implementation of data pipelines

  • Train data scientists to integrate and consume the data they need for their own use cases

  • Work in team, both with technical and non-technical colleagues


  • Consult with the solution architects to design or improve new solutions

  • Propose appropriate data ingestion, preparation, integration and operationalization techniques in optimally addressing requirements

  • Participate in ensuring compliance and governance during data use

  • Establish or improve and implement governance and processes together with our business HQ for a proper usage of the available tools


Your areas of knowledge and expertise

That matter most for this role:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the area of Analytics and ETL tools such as Alteryx, Qlik, Trifacta, at least as a super user or administrator
  • Architectural understanding in the context of databases and ETL
  • Scripting languages such as R, Python, C++ or Java
  • Relational database programming languages (SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Knowledge of one or more of the most common relational databases such as Oracle, SQL or Hana
  • Analytical and conceptual mindset, technical skills highly beneficial, methodical approach
  • Good communication skills, performance and result oriented, team player
  • University degree like business administration or information technology or equivalent practical experience
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken), German beneficial

Red Bull GmbH, Human Resources, Am Brunnen 1, A-5330 Fuschl am See, Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 1.867 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
