The Product Manager New Lines (PM NL) is responsible for newly developed business solutions/models offered by the BU CSR in line with the group strategy and the SBU strategy. The main purpose of the role is to develop, market and manage new service products and enable the RUs to sell those globally.

What are the changes we expect from this role in the next 3 years?

HOERBIGER is very well positioned in an attractive market with conventional parts and repair as well as upgrade business. Anyhow, technological advancements will reduce this conventional income stream. To drive growth and lock-in existing business new business models/service products are needed. The PM NL is the spear head of those bew offerings.

What is the true purpose of the role? What are opportunities and potential next steps? (Elevator pitch)

The PM NL is the owner of the newly developed business solutions. He is therefore responsible for the overall commercial and technical success of this service product. Together with the regional Product Managers/Owners, the PM NL develops the overall product strategy considering market trends, customer needs and technology trends.

In close cooperation with C Innovation Lab he drives developments and ultimately the PM NL is responsible for the successful Go2Market. The PM NL defines and manages the product and the price positioning. He is accountable for the product specifcations and standards. He ensures that the overall cost bases provides sufficient margins.

The PM NL provides proper marketing and sales material as well as technical and commercial product training to the Regional Product Managers/Owners and Sales Organisation.

Main tasks of the role

  • Understand the customers' needs, identify new business opportunities and model new solutions/models to fulfil those.
  • Provide feedback to Global PMs and R&D concerning new product, process and digital innovations.
  • Together with the BU, RUs and Innovation teams, lead and develop the new service products considering market and technology trends.
  • Become the owner of new service products
  • Introduction and successful roll-out of newly developed service products to the market.

Individual tasks / Responsibilities

  • Ultimately the PMNL is responsible for successful introduction of new business solutions for CSR.
  • The PMNL drives innovation of new business models by defining go-2-market, offering, technical/digital solution, price positioning incl. target margins with the SBU C strategy.
  • He is accountable for the innovation process incl. templates, commercial and technical/digital tools and marketing material.
  • Together with Service Engineering the engineering process, technical tools and standards are provided.
  • The PMNL provides proper marketing and sales material, drives pilots and fieldtesting, market introduction as well as technical and commercial and technical product training to the regional sales Teams.

Based on wage structure agreements, we are offering a gross annual salary starting at EUR 60.000 with respect to individual qualifications and experience.

Requirements / Targeted profile

  • Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
  • Background of Sales & Marketing preferable
  • Understand Oil & Gas industry (Up-, Mid- and Downstream): market, standards (API, ATEX,…), applications and processes
  • Profound understanding of reciprocating compressors and their impact on customer applications and processes
  • Excellent understanding of customer needs and key stakeholders (ability for active listening)
  • Profound knowledge about HOE products and solutions for recips
  • Digital and new technology savvy
  • Willingness to show extreme ownership
  • Strong communication skills to guide and enable regional and local PM and sales Teams
  • MS Office, CRM
  • English, German
