Real-Time Expert (m/f/d)

In this challenging function you will be responsible for implementing a virtualized real time and fundamental value proposition of our core product with the aim to strengthen our market position besides our technological leadership. Furthermore, you will take over responsibility for feature implementation along the product lifecycle - from gathering requirements and software design to effort estimation, implementation, bug-fixing and testing.

Your Tasks

  • Develop real time software for industrial IoT products
  • Configure, build and run real time operating systems on top of hypervisors in virtualized environments
  • Exploit real time capabilities of underlying CPU architectures for maximum real time performance
  • Implement real time networking and switching functions based on TSN (Time Sensitive Networking)
  • Create and execute tests to verify and benchmark real time behavior of IoT systems

Your Profile

  • Completed technical education (HTL, FH, TU) or comparable background
  • Profound knowledge of real time operating systems and underlying real time principles
  • Experience in real time Linux and latency measurements
  • Excellent knowledge and several years of experience in one or several of: C, C++, Python, Java programming
  • Know how about CPU architectures, virtualization, real time computing and network communication
  • Team-player with hands-on mentality and a solution-orientated way of working
  • Very good English skills; basic German skills are beneficial

Your performance is remunerated with an attractive and market-compliant salary. The position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe) and we provide a minimum salary of 40,000.- Euro gross per year. Naturally, we offer an overpayment based on your previous experience and qualifications.
