Who we are: Swandoo is a young and rising startup in the child safety and family industry. Our first product, Albert, has become an icon with 2 major design awards and coming up as a test winner, best of the year and overall 3rd best in history, in the consumer testing carried by Stiftung Warentest, ADAC, ÖAMTC, and TCS.
As a small team, our objective is to accelerate growth (yayyyy!) in a highly competitive environment dominated by traditional -and boring- players. (Boooo!)
To take Swandoo to new levels, we are looking to grow our team with a Graphic Design/Branding Manager to take on the challenges of steering and further developing the corporate identity and brand experience of Swandoo.
If you wish to accept the role, you'll have to challenge assumptions and shake up the codes with a disruptive and calculated approach.
What will you be responsible for?
You will be working in a casual start-up environment on a wide scope of tasks and deliverables, ranging from strategy and corporate identity, product graphics, website, apps, printed sales material, exhibition design, packaging and anything needed to support our goals.
You'll support the company in strategy definition and implementation by taking a leading role within the team. You will lead the marketing planning and encourage cross-functional collaboration within the company, for example, with other departments such as Sales and local distributors. You will also have to supervise new and ongoing marketing and advertising activities.
You'll lead and assist a team of creative people working on brand initiatives in a wide range of tasks and deliverables: product graphics, packaging, website, social media, print sales materials, in-store visibility, videos, exhibition design, etc... In short, everything necessary to support our objectives and image inside and outside Swandoo.
Whenever needed, you'll have to find, select and direct any out-of-house creative professionals (illustrators, photographers, designers, web programmers, producers, copywriters, etc.) and freelancers engaged to work on the projects.
In short, you will be responsible for the creation of clear, consistent and powerful brand messages and experiences relevant to our target clients.
Other responsibilities are:
Help to establish a strong presence in the design industry, building a name and recognition and attracting new staff by actively engaging and attending industry-activities, conferences, judging, speaking, writing, etc.
The position is full time, based in Vienna, and begins immediately. The role will report directly to our Chief Designer.
