Cyber-Security Officer (m/f/d)


Job Summary

The Cybersecurity/Information Security Officer has the duty to define the framework of an effective Information Security strategy, issuing instructions concerning the definition and implementation of security policies and guidelines, based on the most recent international standards, and monitors their implementation company wide. The goal is to provide the Company with state-of-the-art solutions in order to guarantee a proper and suitable information security strategy, considering the overall information security appetite, based on the adoption of a thorough risk assessment process and gap analysis.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To create information security strategies, both short-term and long-range, in support of the Bank´s goals
  • To maintain a proactive risk assessment plan for all new and existing systems, through a constant working relationship with the IT department, so that effective controls can be put in place for those areas presenting the greatest information security risk
  • To communicate risks and recommendations to mitigate risks to the Head of Security so that decisions can be made to ensure the security of information systems and information entrusted to the Bank
  • To oversee all activities related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Bank´s information security policies and procedures by ensuring these policies and procedures are approved and applied in the Bank´s subsidiaries
  • To develop information security awareness training and education programs
  • To evaluate security incidents and determine what response, if any, is needed and support other relevant functions in the Bank with the response strategies (e.g. technical incident response teams, DPO)

Your Profile

  • University degree in the field of computer science and/or information security
  • At least five years of varied information technology experience is required. Applicable experience includes, but is not limited to, computer and networking infrastructure, operating systems, application software development, project management, regulatory compliance, risk management, and providing training. Two years of direct experience in information security-related duties is required
  • Experience in the financial sector is preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in writing technical specifications are required. Experience with contract and vendor negotiations and management including managed services. Ability to educate a non-technical audience about various security measures. Stress-resilience and ability to meet deadlines and capability to work independently. Willingness to travel

Annual Gross salary starting from EUR 50.000 according to the collective bargaining agreement (additional salary can be defined based on individual experience and skills). The position can be filled as soon as possible.
